Local winners at Pacific Seeds event
Pacific Seeds hosted its annual Agents and Industry Christmas Party in the Glenvale Room at the Toowoomba Showgrounds on Thursday night and several local businesses were among the award winners.
The function is always popular and this year was no exception with some 200 guests in attendance.
Guests were welcomed by Andrew Short, the Managing Director of Pacific Seeds, the Australian arm
of Advanta Seeds, which has its headquarters in Dubai.
Pacific Seeds Territory Manager Bill Smith presented the annual awards to agents and growers who assisted with various aspects of the company’s work during the past year.
The Farmer of the Year for 2023 is Lloyd Gillam from Brookstead while the Agent of the Year award went to Nutrien Ag Solutions at Pittsworth.
The Agent Service Award was won by Felton Produce, which was represented on the night by Angus Young, Jessie Jones and Jacob Brown,
Pursehouse Rural has branches at Clifton, Allora and Pittsworth and the Clifton Manager, Chris Kunde, was proud to accept the trophies for the Excellence in Service Award on behalf of the team.
