Major subdivision proposed for Clifton
Toowoomba Regional Council is considering a development application which has been lodged for a proposed large, new residential subdivision on the eastern side of Clifton.

The application seeks to subdivide land at 38 Neville Road into 91 freehold lots.
Two of the lots will be open space set aside for stormwater drainage while 80 lots are to be 600m2.
The application has been lodged by a Burleigh Heads firm on behalf of a Queensland-based company, Drive EV Pty Ltd.
The land runs behind existing homes along Neville Road and stretches from the Clifton Recreation Reserve/Racecourse through to Clifton State High School.
The land is zoned as Low-Medium Density Residential.
The application proposes that 49 of the 80 allotments would be dual occupancy medium density sites.
Access would be through two existing portions of sealed streets which run east from Neville Road.
The area is currently undeveloped and has been the subject of a previous, separate application.
The application addresses the necessary infrastructure for the large residential development.
A report on stormwater indicates that the flow of water from the land is in a north westerly direction, toward the Clifton Recreation Reserve.
Lodgement of the application is interesting given that a new subdivision known as Raceview Estate has recently gone onto the market on the northern side of Clifton.
It features 40 home sites ranging in size from 800m2 and has attracted significant interest.
