Millmerran excels in Qld Secondary Schools Cup
Millmerran State School students Mia Scurr and Claire Kirby have placed second in the Queensland Secondary Schools Cup for lawn bowls.
Mia Scurr and Claire Kirby were placed second in the Queensland Secondary Schools Cup.
The Cup finals were held at Club Pine Rivers on 20th and 21st August.
Mia and Claire climbed from third place after day one to secure the runner-up position with 12 points.
They edged out St. Joseph’s Nudgee College, Tallawong, Moreton Anglican College and Glass House Christian College, who all finished level on 12 points but fell short on margin.
Defending champions Braedon Andrews and Jacob Hoger of Tannum Sands State High School were the Cup winners.
