More on Cambooya's Lucy Street Park upgrade
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has shared some more information about its upgrades to Lucy Street Park in Cambooya, as featured previously.
New seating and exercise equipment at the park.
TRC’s Parks and Recreation Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon said he was excited for the community to have access to a range of new recreational activities.
The project’s construction which included over 15 upgrades started in May this year and finished in June.
Cr Tim McMahon said part of the project’s works focused on enhancing the lighting of key areas of activity, adding additional safety features such as enhanced street crossings, new pathways, bollards and bike racks.
“Each of these measures have improved public safety considerably,” Cr McMahon said.
The Regional Council engaged two Toowoomba Region companies, Dawson’s Concreting and Sutton Concreting, to deliver the concreting works for this project.
