Mothers celebrated at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church
St Andrew’s Anglican Church in Pittsworth hosted a Mother’s Day afternoon tea and fashion parade on Saturday 9th May.
Father Tony Swansson welcomed almost ninety ladies to the annual afternoon tea in the Parish Hall.
We enjoyed delicious homemade scones, cakes, slices, ribbon sandwiches and savoury food before the fashion parade by Lilly Pilly Style Boutique.
Thank you to Tammy Vary, the parade was the highlight of the afternoon.
Thank you also to Robin Krieg for playing some live music on his accordion.
The tables were beautifully decorated with table runners in an orange and green protea pattern made by Carol Innes.
The teacup sets were a sight to see and we had stunning floral arrangements on the stage and tables of home-grown flowers from Fay Garratt’s garden.
Thank you to all those who attended and purchased tickets in the multi draw raffle and money boards.
We are very grateful to all the generous donors of the prizes for the multi draw raffle.
The first prize was won by Julie Robertson.
Lastly, Vicki Bond deserves a huge thank you for all her event organising in the weeks leading up to the day, we couldn’t do it without you Vicki.
We also thank all the awesome members of our church community who helped in any way to
make the afternoon tea such a success, from setting up, preparing sandwiches, donating food to selling raffle tickets and washing up, you are all greatly appreciated.
