Musical talents on display at Toowoomba Concert Orchestra event
On Sunday, eight musicians from Pittsworth took part in the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra’s 50th Anniversary concert in celebration of community, connection and performance.
Talented Pittsworth musicians at the recent Toowoomba Concert Orchestra’s 50th anniversary celebration were (back from left) Luke Todd (Trombone), Lance Peters (Double Bass), Ian Clarke (Cor Anglais), Mike Spiller (Viola), (front row) Stella Rotar (Violin), John Redfearn (Horn), Antoinette Jones (Horn) and Peta Watts (Bassoon).
Some of the musicians have showcased their talents in this orchestra for many years.
Peta Watts, Ian Clarke and Lance Peters joined with Pittsworth State Schools’ instrumental music teacher Luke Todd, and past teachers John Redfearn, Stella Rotar, Mike Spiller and Antoinette Jones, on stage at the Empire Theatre.
The orchestra delivered a wide range of music to a large audience.
The musicians will next feature in the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra’s “One Remarkable Reef” on Sunday, 28th September.
