New Jondaryan OIC here to stay
New Officer-in-Charge (OIC) at Jondaryan Police Station Senior Constable Shelly Robinson has answered the question “How long will you be around?” At least 3 years.

Jondaryan residents have been asking that question since her arrival as permanent police officer in January, following a year-long delay after the departure of Brian Stenner.
Snr. Const. Robinson left her Toowoomba desk job in for what she enjoys best - community policing.
Having grown up in country Victoria, and having served at Dirranbandi for four years, she is well attuned to the needs of rural communities.
Since starting in January, Senior Constable Robinson has been hard at work tidying up the yard and garden and making significant alterations inside Jondaryan Police Station.
With help of DV Safe Space funding, the new OIC is completely re-modelling the interior of the station to make it a more welcoming space for victims, their families and children to come and engage with Police.
Progress on this project, which is set to include a TV and noise-cancelling headphones for children, continues.
OIC Robinson says she is thankful for the friendliness Jondaryan residents have shown towards her during her settling-in period.
