The new single storey shopping centre is proposed to be developed in two stages, with associated
car parking and external works.

  • Stage 1 - Supermarket (IGA) of 1300 square metres.

  • Stage 2 - Specialty shops (including possible food and drink outlet) of 498 square metres.

External works include a landscaped open car parking area behind the buildings with a driveway linking Margaret and Nardoo Streets.

A total of 62 vehicle parking spaces are to be provided in addition to the loading/service space.

The site is an unconventional ‘B’ shape with an area of 5,484 square metres (greater than half a hectare).

The locality is currently a combination of existing residential and commercial uses including a mechanical workshop, office, and dwelling house.

It is proposed that the existing buildings be removed or demolished.

The application was submitted by Wiltshire Stevens Architects Pty Ltd, on behalf of the owners.

Flood risk property information, environmental management register documents, and comprehensive plans were also submitted.
