Oakey dancer commended at states
Peyton Shaw from iDance Studios impressed the judges recently at the 2025 Australian Teachers of Dancing State Championships hosted between Paradox Dance Studios and Wynnum State High School Performing Art Complex in Brisbane.

Peyton qualified and entered into the state championships for jazz dance. Recently, she competed in a jazz technique class and performed a jazz solo at the State Championships in Brisbane.
This was her first time (and iDance’s first student) to participate in this prestigious event.
“Peyton danced against 20 other talented dancers from all over Queensland and was amazed to walk away with Commended!” iDance Principal instructor Carla Tierney said.
“This was extremely impressive and we’re so incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication she has (puts into) her craft.”
