Oh, such fun!
St. Stephen’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) had two busy (but exciting) weeks over the school holidays with various activities and excursions undertaken by students.

The Winter Vacation Program at OSHC was packed with fun from start to finish.
The holidays kicked off with the children creating a scarecrow for the Prep garden and painting colourful plant pots.
Then they enjoyed an excursion to Rotaract Park before welcoming the Pittsworth Fire Brigade back at OSHC headquarters (22 Murray Street).
The children loved exploring the fire truck and learning important fire safety tips.
Day four included an excursion to the IGA to experience the day-to-day store procedures from packing the shelves, wrapping fresh products, crushing boxes and visiting the storage and cold rooms.
The children were split up into small groups to bag up apples to be put on sale for customers, and even had the chance to decorate their own personalised cupcakes.
A highlight was taking home freshly baked choc chip cookies with their initials on them.
Way to go, IGA!
The first week wrapped up with a cosy slumber party.
Everyone came dressed in their pyjamas, enjoyed games, watched a movie, and shared pizza for lunch.
Week two started with NAIDOC activities, followed by an excursion to Woolworths where the children gathered ingredients before returning to OSHC to become master chefs for the day.
Team spirit was on full display on Wednesday as everyone dressed in their State of Origin colours and decorated cupcakes to match.
A visit to the library gave the children time to discover new books and enjoy some quiet reading.
The week finished with a special Paint and Sip afternoon.
Everyone painted their own canvas masterpiece while sipping on poppers.
What a way to spend the school holidays.
As Monday (13 July) was a pupil-free day, OSHC hosted a Games Day.
The children explored how games have changed over time, playing everything from traditional outdoor games and classic board games to modern group activities.
St. Stephen’s OSHC welcomed an average of 25 to 30 children each week day during the holidays.
The service offers a combination of before school, after school, pupil free days and vacation care led by a team of qualified educators.
The service is not just for St. Stephen’s Primary School.
