Parkrunners show heat is no barrier to fitness
Oakey parkrun received a large boost in numbers for the first run of 2026.

In the last event before Christmas, 33 runners came to Oakey for parkrun.
Today we welcomed visitors from Victoria, Emerald, Stanthorpe, Brisbane & Toowoomba with 33 participants in quite humid and warm conditions & seven first timers to Oakey.
A big congratulations to Melissa for setting a new personal best time!

36 runners hit the pavement after Christmas.
Visitors came from Sydney, Maryborough, Brisbane, Dalby, and Toowoomba.
Well done to Mitchell Sutton, Kylie McCormack, Nick Geraghty, Melissa Geraghty, Bronwyn Proud, & Stephen Robinson.

We welcomed 55 walkers joggers and runners for our first parkrun for the year.
We welcomed visitors from Melbourne, Cairns, Highfields, Charleville and Toowoomba.
Congratulations to Mitchell Sutton, Jacob Brown, Kylie McCormack, Jackie Amos, Jessica Hassett, Naomi Britton & Corey McBride on achieving personal bests - a great start to the year!
