Passing of Local Stalwart
Eric Folker spent much of his life serving and supporting his community.
The Wyreema community this week is mourning the passing of the long time local.
Eric had served on the Wyreema Community Hall Committee, in many roles, for over 70 years.
His last attendance was at the hall meeting in January.
“His dedication, kindness, and steady presence will be remembered by so many,” said the post announcing Eric Folker’s death on the Community Hall’s facebook page.
“A life of service that leaves a lasting legacy,” it said.
Members of the local community are invited to Wyreema Community Hall this Friday, the 13th
of March to celebrate Eric’s life:
This will take the form of a social barbecue night.
The bar will be open from 5pm and food will be served from 6pm.
Committee members are hoping for a good attendance to honour their late fellow member.
Eric Folker was the longest serving member of the Wyreema Community Hall Committee.
