PCYC loss will impact on whole region
The huge loss sustained by the Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) as the result of last week’s disastrous fire at the James Street premises in Toowoomba will be felt across the Region.

An appeal has been launched to enable supporters to make contributions to the Toowoomba Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) to help the organisation recover from last week’s inferno that destroyed its James Street premises.
Since the blaze members of the community have reached out with offers of support, well-wishes and questions about helping to ensure PCYC Toowoomba remains the important part of the community it has grown to be over the last fifty years.
In response to this outpouring of support, the organisation has created the “PCYC Toowoomba Rebuild Fund”.
Details are available by feeding “PCYC Toowoomba” into a search engine.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Police have charged a 28-years-old Toowoomba man following investigations into the suspicious building fire at PCYC Toowoomba on the 19th of March.
Ash Livingstone has been charged with one count each of arson, stealing, and unlawful enter premises with intent, along two counts of unlawful enter premises and commit.
He was refused police bail and was retained in the Toowoomba Watchhouse until he appeared in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court last Friday, 20th March.
He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to re-appear before the court on 20th April.
Police are appealing for anyone with any relevant information, dashcam or vision that could assist to come forward.
