Peter Chalks Up Fifty Years of Service to QAS

Former Allora resident and businessman Peter Stewart has been recognised for achieving half a century of service to the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) through his membership of the Warwick Local Ambulance Committee (LAC).


At the LAC Annual Conference in Bundaberg, Peter Stewart and Anne Glasheen received their service awards from Assistant Commissioner Peta Thompson, who is based in the South West Region and QAC Commissioner Craig Emery.

Mr Stewart received acknowledgement of his service with the presentation of a Certificate and Badge at the LAC Annual Conference at Bundaberg at the weekend.

He is a long time local from Allora who used to own Allora Motors for many years and went on to own Peter Stewart Ford in Warwick.

Members of the Stewart family are long term Allora locals.

He is president of the Warwick LAC.

Another well-known personality with origins in Allora, Anne Glasheen was also recognised at the Conference for her 25 years’ service to the Clifton LAC.

Mrs Glasheen is currently president of the Clifton LAC and also received a Certificate and Badge.
