Plenty of smiles at KidsGames
Seventy-three children participated in the 12th annual school holiday program ‘KidsGames’ this week at the Pittsworth Uniting Church.
The theme was “You Are Valued,” and explored the Bible parables of the lost coin, the lost sheep, the prodigal son, and the concept that all children are of great value to God.
Participants were divided into ten groups and took part in outdoor games, crafts and small group discussions.
Thirty volunteers, including several local chaplains, helped lead the activities.
Among them were 11 junior leaders, while four people from Youth With A Mission (YWAM) travelled from Brisbane to join the leadership team.
Families and local churches donated lunches for the leaders.
The three day program commenced on Tuesday and will conclude this afternoon.
KidsGames is run under the banner of Scripture Union, a not-for-profit organisation that works alongside churches and communities to give children opportunities to discover God.
