Probus Club formed
Pittsworth’s newest organisation, the Probus Club of Pittsworth-Southbrook, has been formed and is looking for new members.
New treasurer David Wenham said 45 people interested in forming a Probus Club of Pittsworth-Southbrook attended an information morning on Thursday, 2nd November at St. Andrew’s Church Hall.
“Sufficient interest saw the Club formed with 35 members signing up on the day,” Mr Wenham said.
Probus is a non-fundraising organisation developed to encourage fun, friendship and fellowship among retirees and the semi-retired.”
Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month – except January – from 10am to noon.
The Inaugural Meeting of Pittsworth-Southbrook Probus Club will be held at 10am, next Thursday, 7 December at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Hall, Murray Street, Pittsworth and will include morning tea.
“Looking to meet new friends? Please come along – Probus may be for you!” Mr Wenham said.
