QCWA Oakey branch find new home at Lifeline, shop to continue operating
Oakey’s QCWA branch has found a new home after a long search, buying 105 Campbell Street in a deal which will see current tenants Lifeline continue to operate.

QCWA Oakey Branch President Judy Byers confirmed the purchase, which was announced by real estate agent Sovereign Property Partners last week.
“QCWA Oakey branch have been searching for a suitable property situated in close proximity to the main street that the committee can call their “home” for several years now,” Mrs Byers told the Champion.
“When 105 Campbell Street was offered for sale, we knew we needed to act quickly to place an offer to purchase this property.
“With the full support of QCWA State Office, settlement was reached and 105 Campbell Street now has new owners.”
Mrs Byers said rumours that Lifeline would be forced to move were baseless.
“Nothing will change at present as to how Lifeline operates now,” she said.
“In the coming months we will discuss future plans for both community organisations and I am sure both essential local community organisations can work together providing various services to the Oakey district.”
