Quinalow are DCA Premiers
Quinalow Cricket Club are Dalby Cricket Association (DCA) Premiers for the 2025/26 season after defeating Dalby Waratahs by 31 runs at the Dalby Cricket Ground on Saturday, March 28th.
Quinalow Cricket Club 157, 30 overs (Craig Maynard 49, Syd Weedon 39, Mick Bartkowski 30*, Matt Mutch 3-19, Levi Kingston 2-29, Blake Seebaran 2-35) defeated Dalby Waratahs 136, 38 overs (Mal King 30, Brendan Buckley 29, Charlie Brauer 28*, Mick Bartkowski 3-19, Michael Boyd 3-28, Jarred Waldock 2-24) by 21 runs

A healthy crowd of Quinalow supporters descended on Dalby for a big day of cricket.
The Quinalow XI wore black arm bands in honour of former player and long time supporter Arnold Jensen.
Early wickets set Quinalow back forcing a consolidation period from Player of the Final Craig Maynard and Syd Weedon.
Late runs from Michael Bartkowski pushed the total up to a dependable 157.
Matt Mutch was the pick of the bowlers for Waratahs, while last year’s heroes Levi Kingston and Blake Seebaran were in the wickets again.
Waratahs struggled to get going in their run chase.
They looked at their best while Mal King and former South-West Queensland representative Brendan Buckley were at the crease.
But consistent wickets set them back.
Whenever a boundary was hit, a wicket seemed to fall.
Veteran left-armer of 25 seasons Michael Bartkowski showed why he has been so valuable to the Quinalow club during that time, zeroing in on the stumps with his in-swingers and taking three wickets.
Two dropped catches off Waratahs’ 17-year-old bat Charlie Brauer, who defended admirably, delayed the finish.
With two overs to go, the final wicket came, sparking cheers from the Quinalow-dominated crowd.
At the post-match presentations, a DCA spokesperson praised the Quinalow club for their large contingent of support, and challenged Dalby Waratahs to bring along more of their own family and friends.
The introduction of three clubs, Boundary Riders, Jimbour and Tingoora has brought new life into the DCA competition this year.
Tingoora had left the South Burnett competition following a dispute with local administrators which had seen the club docked points for alleged irregularities in 2024/25.
Syd Weedon was named Vince Buckley DCA Player of the Year, and received another trophy for taking the most wickets, while Bryce Riethmuller was awarded a trophy for most runs (639) in the 2025/26 DCA season.
Quinalow’s Jack McKewen won his second title of the season, having played for Kulpi in the Central Downs on Sundays.
In the past, inter-club matches have occurred when Quinalow and Kulpi win, but this will be dependent on player availability.
