Ramsay State School News
It’s been 100 days of the school year for Ramsay State School, which for some, marks their first 100 days of school!

So this week the students and staff celebrated their 100th Day of School!
Students had a fantastic time marking this special milestone by taking part in a variety of fun, 100-themed activities.
The celebrations included Pass the Parcel, Musical Chairs, Pin the 1 on the 100, Fruit Loop necklaces, craft activities and, of course, cake!
The school put out a big thank you to all the staff who helped organise the day, which was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone.
This semester, we are excited to welcome our new school chaplain, Chappy Rach, to the Ramsay community. Chappy Rach will be at our school every Monday, providing support and encouragement to our students. It is wonderful to have another friendly and caring face around our school.
Term 2 Athletics Carnival
On the final Thursday of Term 2, Ramsay students competed in our annual Inter-house Athletics Carnival. It was a fantastic day, with perfect weather creating ideal conditions for competition. Our students did an amazing job across all events. We saw excellent teamwork during the ball games, impressive performances in the sprint and middle-distance races, and great skill in the throwing and jumping events. Not only did our students demonstrate outstanding athletic ability, but they also displayed exceptional sportsmanship throughout the day. Well done to everyone who participated! A special thank you to Mrs Davies for all of her hard work organising the carnival and preparing our students in the lead-up to the event. Your dedication and effort are greatly appreciated.
Congratulations to our Age Champions:
Junior Champions: Hayley and William
Intermediate Champions: Monique and Charlie
Senior Champion: Niamh (Tie): Dean and Xavier
Congratulations also to Samson Inwood, who was awarded the Bertram Sportsmanship Award in recognition of his outstanding effort, positive attitude and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. Finally, congratulations to all Ramsay students who participated and represented their houses with enthusiasm and pride. A huge congratulations to Elliott House, our overall winning team for the 2026 Athletics Carnival!
