Remembrance Day commemorations

One-hundred-and-seven years ago, at 11am on 11th November 1918, the guns fell silent on the Western Front bringing an end to the Great War.


Many returned from WWI with physical wounds. Private Charles (Charlie) Henry Stevens had his legs amputated after being wounded in action in France in June 1918. He obtained a tricycle wheelchair in England before returning to Australia and used it at various times until his death.
