Remembrance Day: Remember to Remember

The Clifton RSL Sub-Branch invites the local community to attend its Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph on the corner of King and Edward streets at 10.55am next Tuesday, 11 November 2025.

Something to reflect upon on Remembrance Day is that this year is the 110th anniversary of the March of the Dungarees, a World War I recruitment march that started in Warwick and continued through Allora, Clifton, Nobby, Greenmount, Cambooya, making a few more stops before eventually finishing in Brisbane. The march began with 28 recruits, increasing through each town and finishing with 125 across the 257 kilometre journey.
