RESULT - CONDAMINE CUP ROUND 10 -
The Green Ants were asked to bowl on Saturday afternoon at Queens Park, with Colts getting off to a good start, 0/26 at the 4 over mark. That was halted by another fantastic spell of off spin bowling from Reilly Young (2/10 off 4 overs, including a maiden).
The Ants were looking a real threat to keep Colts to a low total after 15 overs, but some late innings big hitting from John Cleary (54* off 28) ballooned the target all the way to 153.
Allora were off to a flyer in the second innings, the opening stand worth 45 in 6.5 overs. Some good work from captain Will Ole (14 off 11) in the middle overs saw the target become within reach, but the standout of the innings was Paul Christensen, with a magnificent 56 off 32 balls, including 4 4s and 5 big 6s.
The 10 over mark saw the score at 1/84, and the Ants looking a decent chance of getting a first win for the season. Unfortunately, Colts had other ideas, a game changing spell of 4/13 (4) from John Cleary saw the middle order quickly dislodged. No one else was able to stick around for long enough in the second half of the innings, Allora eventually finishing on 8/124.
