Around 800 people flocked to the property - helping to raise over $6000 for the Cancer Council.

The garden was featured on ABC tv’s ‘Dream Gardens’ program in 2017 and a lot of people have been keen to visit ever since.

The Kenny family have built the garden over the last 10yrs and prepared it all Winter with help from friends and family.

Garden guru Penny McKinlay hosted two busloads of visitors on the Sunday, from the heritage rose conference in Toowoomba.

Other visitors travelled from Inverell, Millmerran, Bribie Island and the Sunshine Coast to explore the grounds.

The garden is described as a relaxed country garden with mixed perennial plantings, rose gardens and a delightful kitchen garden with a cool and lush rustic style conservatory.

The chook shed also drew a lot of attention and the family’s dachshunds enjoyed a lot of pats!

The architecture of the house attracted a lot of interest - being a Robin Dods design that was previously a doctor’s house and surgery and later a hospital ward at Turrawan private hospital in Clayfield.

The building was moved to its current location in 5 pieces in 1981.
