The Centre is less than one year old and this is the first carnival in conjunction with Equestrian Queensland.

A variety of events will include Dressage, Show Jumping, and over 100 competitors contesting a Cross Country event on the Sunday.

Riders from as young as eleven to as old as some in their seventies will be competing.

The carnival will also conduct a “Come and Try” section  for under 16 year old riders and an Open division with Equestrian Australia coaches available to help and guide riders according to their level of expertise.

The dressage events will be conducted in the new arenas financed by the Toowoomba Regional Council and those watching can relax on the front deck with a canteen and bar open.

Organising Director Jo Williams said the Centre would welcome new riders or club members and would be grateful if they could get some jump judges for cross country day.

“They will be given a little snack pack and take their own chair sitting in the sun ticking off riders as they jump the jump they are delegated,” she said.
