Saint Frannies welcomes new principal
Brendan Redinger has joined the staff of Saint Francis de Sales School as the school’s principal for 2022.

Mr Redinger has worked in Diocese of Toowoomba schools for 16 years, including five years at St Patrick’s School in St George and three years as deputy principal of Holy Name in Toowoomba.
Mr Redinger said his time in St George has familiarised him with a rural country atmosphere which helped make Clifton appeal to him.
He said he hopes to continue the good work of his fellow Brendan, the previous principal Brendan O’Reilly, which Mr Redinger said has seen the school excel in recent years academically.
“I have a passion for teaching and learning,” he said.
“I’m hoping to promote love and engagement of learning for children.
“Getting back to the Charism of St Benedict and the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in a school with a wonderful reputation is such a privilege.
“I am excited to be a part of this very special community and I can’t wait to build positive relationships with everyone.”
Mr Redinger plans on updating existing initiatives, including the Writing Improvement Strategy (WIS) and Reading Improvement Strategy (RIS) and undertaking new initiatives, including an emphasis on activities including sport.
“We have expert teachers in the classrooms and a strong platform to engage learners,” he said.
“The school is doing really well with academic growth shown through Write That Essay and Naplan results.
“There is also a good behavioural base - empathy for others is very strong.
If you would like to visit and see what St Francis de Sales is all about, Mr Redinger said to call in and speak to him.
For the time being, Mr Redinger will continue to live in Toowoomba as his child attends a Catholic high school.
He is one of six principals starting a new school this year in the Diocese.
