School Footy Teams Join Forces
Allora P-10 State School and Clifton State High School have combined to enter the U15 Schoolboys Rugby League competition in Term 2.
This competition will see the team play against other schools such as Mary McKillop Highfields, Assumption College Warwick, Lockyer District High School, St Marys Toowoomba, St Josephs Toowoomba, OLOSC/ Concordia combined team and Dalby State High School.
Round 1 kicked off on 29 April, with Allora/Clifton taking on Faith Lutheran College. In an entertaining first half, the scores were locked at 12-all at halftime. Our boys were first to score in the second half, but failing to complete the following set after points allowed Faith Lutheran to dominate possession for the remainder of the game and close it out 36–16.
Overall, Jack Duggan (Allora P-10 State School), Anthony Rixon (Clifton State High School) and Chris Redfern (Clifton State High School) were incredibly proud of the effort the boys showed against a strong opposition.
