Schools remember the ANZACs
Most schools in the district marked ANZAC Day with a Monday morning assembly.
Oakey State School captains Talitha, Slayter, Norma and Alister with Mark Carter from Oakey RSL and serviceman Ray Fowler.
Schools in the Rosalie and Jondaryan districts have commemorated ANZAC Day with their own services.
At Oakey State School, Mark Carter from Oakey RSL and serviceman Ray Fowler were in attendance.
Meanwhile, at Oakey State High School, Lieutenant Colonel Rick Watling spoke to students about the significance of ANZAC Day.
Kingsthorpe State School and Goombungee State School held their own services, while Biddeston State School helped organise the local dawn service.
