Mrs Keeley was born in County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, and if you ask her, St. Patrick’s Day is the best day in the calendar year.

The shop was decked out in green and shamrocks, and patrons enjoyed a 17 per cent discount storewide.

Here’s a fun tidbit of information: according to popular lore, the reason there are no native snake species in Ireland, is because St. Patrick drove them out in the fifth century.

The local high school also celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, with students encouraged to wear a green accessory for the day, and join in the Irish Jig competition and chocolate coin hunt.
