Supreme Exhibit not the biggest - but the best
The wet weather had its impact on all sections of this year’s Clifton Show and while nominations for the Cattle Section exceeded 200, a number of would-be exhibitors were unable to attend, however the quality of stock was good and judges were put to the test but came up with a result that surprised some, awarding Supreme Exhibit of the Show to a young heifer.

Supreme Exhibit of the Show was exhibited by Branchview Charolais from Dalby, the winning beast led by 12-years-old Jack Postle, pictured here with sponsor of the trophy, Member for Condamine and Speaker of the Queensland Parliament Pat Weir. The beast that impressed the judges most was a nice looking, well presented 14 months old heifer.

In the Sheep Section, the Champion and Reserve Champion White Dorpers and Champion and Reserve Champion Doper Ewes were exhibited by Cedar Valley Dorpers from Tamborine, here with Rohin and Michael Rutherford, Teesh Sherman and Sharon Rutherford.

Members of Scots-PGC Sheep Team are keen contestants at local shows.

The Supreme Interbreed Ram and the Supreme Interbreed Ewe were from Malcolm Downs Stud at West Haldon. With the winners are Stud owners Kathryn, Stan and Matthew Redmond with Chief Steward of the Sheep Section Josh Milton.
