The Ball's back
Goombungee was in the spotlight last weekend as the first Showgirl Ball since 2019 was held at the Town Hall ahead of the upcoming local Show on 27th April.
Mayor Geoff McDonald and wife Lisa were invited to be Showgirl Judges along with Mark and Nikita Duffy from Irvingdale.
There was an excellent roll-up with over 120 people attending the night.
Entertainment was provided by the ‘Let’s Dance’ band, who, as usual, led the audience in a range of traditional adult and children’s dances.
Local volunteers provided a delicious supper.
The Miss Junior Showgirl category was hotly contested and for the first time a runner-up sash was presented.
Ultimately, the following entrants were awarded the main sashes, along with prizes donated by generous local sponsors:

Miss Junior Showgirl Runner-up: Indy Renyard
Belle of the Ball: Alisha Welke
