Toowoomba Polocrosse meet
Great weather created great Polocrosse at last weekend's Toowoomba Polocrosse’s Carnival held at the Oakey Showgrounds.
Great weather created great Polocrosse at this weekend’s Toowoomba Polocrosse’s Carnival held at our home grounds, Oakey Showgrounds.
Our club, in addition to the Men’s and Junior competition, hosted the Queensland Polocrosse Association’s Women’s competition where the ladies had an added advantage of an elite A grade player coaching while playing.
This is a sport where instant advice in a game improves the game skills of players.
On Saturday night, the women heard from guest speakers Gemma Etheridge, a gold metal winner at the 2016 Olympics in the Rugby 7’s, and Salli Galvin, who had travelled all the way over from WA, discussing what representing Australia in Polocrosse meant for her.
Many women came from interstate (as well as New Zealand) to compete, and the Toowoomba Polocrosse Club wish to thank them for their support.
