TRC solution for unsightly Federation Park sign
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has come up with what should be an acceptable solution to replace the large, dilapidated sign that currently graces the entrance to Federation Park at Vale View.
Parks and Recreation Services spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon said Council does not plan to repaint the sign.
TRC plans to replace the original sign, ensuring the new name sign is visible from the road and the historical information captured on the previous sign will be placed on additional information signage within the park.
“Upgrading the Federation Park signage is a project subject to Capital funding and is not currently part of the 2025/26 Capital Works Program,” Cr McMahon said.
“However, there is funding set aside for this financial year to replace play equipment at the park.
“Other recent capital works completed at Federation Park include renovations to the amenities.
“TRC thanks the Vale View and surrounding communities for their patience whilst Council reviews the situation.”
