Under 15 Girls go to Grand Final
It was all one-way traffic at Goondiwindi’s’ Gilbert Oval on Saturday when Wattles’ Under 15 Girls League Tag team racked up ten tries to overwhelm a gallant Goondiwindi line-up 54-nil and cement a run-on spot in this coming Saturday’s Grand Final against the Stanthorpe Gremlins in Warwick.

The match was a significant event for the All In Electrical Under 15 girls, as well as being
the final fixture match of 2025.
The Wattles girls knew they were one win away from a Grand Final and the nerves were definitely obvious in the opening minutes.
“Once they got into the rhythm of the game, they were unstoppable,” said Coach George Berry, “running in many tries and holding the Boarettes scoreless.”
The home side kicking game at times was outstanding and certainly tested Wattles.
“The experience will work in our favour going into a grand final against Stanthorpe, who also have a strong kicking game,” Coach Berry said.
The result was a positive a team effort, a real feature of Wattles game that has evolved whenever they take the field.
“Regardless of the result in the season decider the team should be incredibly proud of themselves,” according to Coach Berry.
“They have been an awesome team to coach and have always played with enthusiasm and fine sportsmanship on and off the field.”
