The young pups came away with a much needed morale boosting win but unfortunately our A and B grade Danes both went down in tight matches.

For our next match we head to Warwick with all three grades ready to go up against Warwick.

Best of luck lads.

Also, a reminder: Danes Race Day is July 1 and Back to Danes Day is July 29 so please keep an eye out for details for both these events.

A  GRADE

Coming off the back of an important away win last week, the Danes were confident heading into our first Saturday night match at the Kennel.

Souths have been completing sets at a high rate over recent weeks and this match was no different with errors rare in the opening stanza.

Unfortunately the second
half saw Pittsworth with a 33 per cent share of possession making it a gruelling 40 minutes.

Alex Kahler and Nick Nairn led the monumental defensive effort with 60 and 48 tackles respectively.

Liam Short continues his strong form with over 140 run metres.

Unfortunately, these valiant efforts were not enough with the sheer weight of possession ultimately allowing Souths to take the lead and hang on 16 points to 14.

Next week we make the trip over to Warwick for yet another very important Saturday match up.

Quinny, Sparky, Chez and Llama.

UNDER 19

On Saturday afternoon the 19s kicked off against Souths.

We started extremely well with three tries off

the first three sets of the game but once Souths got hold of the ball, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy all day.

Momentum changed throughout the first half, but we managed to stay in the lead going into half time.

Coming out in the second half we started strong again and managed to keep the leaf the whole game claiming the win 38-22.

Really happy with the whole team’s efforts and sticking to our goals we set prior to the game.

Kaleb Oberhardt was
best on field doing everything we asked, but the whole team proved we can mix it with the best.

We head to Warwick on Saturday night which will be another test for the boys to put all the hard work into practice.
