Voted the Photo of the Year
The ‘’Photo of the Year’’ idea came about as part of the Allora Photography Groups breakup dinner entertainment in 2024 and it was so popular that it was repeated at the recent 2025 dinner.
Members were invited to submit one of their photos from the year’s competitions. The photos were displayed in a looping slideshow during the dinner which was self-catered by a lovely two course meal (so members are not just good photographers!). After dinner members had a secret ballot amongst all in attendance for the favourite.
The only rule was ‘’You can’t vote for your own’’
The result was a tie between Jan’s ‘’Snow Gums’’ (LEFT) and Michelle C’s ‘’The Red Shoes’’ (ABOVE).
A fun filled night then continued with trivia on subjects of photography and general knowledge.
At the end of the night, there was a presentation of awards for A and overall champion for 2025.
All grades were eligible for Overall champion as the judges use a scoring method that also acts as a handicapping system.
A grade winner was Glenda Guy, B grade winner was Michelle Campbell and overall champion was Glenda Guy.
