Why is the Allora roundabout off-centre?
This question has been asked by locals so here is the official reason given by a spokesperson from the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Doug Partington testing the new roundabout and giving the thumbs-up!
The roundabout at the Warwick Street and Forde Street intersection is designed to be mountable and slightly offset when travelling East to West.
This design makes optimal use of the existing road surface, reducing cost and impacts to areas outside the road reserve.
It also helps commercial and long vehicles better navigate the roundabout when turning onto Warwick Street towards New England Highway, from Forde Street.
A mountable roundabout, offset to the south ensures vehicle wheel tracking is not impeded and larger vehicles can navigate the roundabout.
