Wildcats look back on a stellar season
The Pittsworth and District Wildcats Netball Club celebrated the end of another successful season with a presentation afternoon at Club Pittsworth on Sunday, 14 September.

The Club thanked all players, coaches, managers and sponsors for an incredible season, and congratulated all the award recipients for 2025.
Award Recipients
Most Improved Award, Trophy sponsored by Argus Auto Electrical: Cubs - Kaia Sanders, Lions - Libby Tomlinson, Pumas - Reva Cameron, Leopards - Ava Neale, Tigers - Georgia Cavanagh, Lynx - Lilly Faulkner, Panthers - Mahli Watson, Cheetahs - Aimee King and Cougars - Meleah Klein.
Team Player Award, Trophy sponsored by Kleint Industries Pty Ltd: Cubs - Esther Briggs, Lions - Khaleesi Pirie, Pumas - Hayley Train, Leopards - Emily Grover, Tigers - Felicity Clark, Lynx - Harmarnee Schurmann, Panthers - Indi Cavendish, Cheetahs - Keira Quinn and Cougars - Bianca Johnson.
Most Valuable Player Award, Trophy sponsored by Fowler Accounting: Cubs - Tess Weber, Lions - Sophie Clark, Pumas - Ella Cosh, Leopards - Isla Fitzpatrick , Tigers - Lilly Lord, Lynx - Allie Garton, Panthers - Aleisha Stevens, Cheetahs - Aiden Farrell and Cougars - Hannah Farrell.
Local families and businesses sponsored each of the teams’ medallions and trophies: Set Blue Cubs - Briggs Family, 11C Lions - Pirie Family, 11A Pumas - Quinn Family, 12C Leopards & 13A Tigers - AgriMate Diesel Services, Cadet H Lynx - AUSAG Rural, Cadet D Panthers - Terra Bene Pastoral Co, Cadet A Cheetahs - Nothdurft Family and Div 2 Cougars - Afternoons and Coffeespoons.
Coaches
A special mention was made of the teams’ coaches.
“Thank you for all the effort, time, and commitment you have given to this Club and for allowing our Wildcats to develop skills and confidence within the game of netball,” a spokesperson for the Wildcats said.
The coaches were Aimee King and Sally Gordon (Cubs), Kass Clark (Lions, Tigers) and Catherine Folker (Lions), Keira Quinn and Ava Schultz (Pumas), Hannah Farrell (Leopards, Panthers, Cheetahs), Esther Quinn (Tigers, Cheetahs), Stacey Schurmann and Sally Nichols (Lynx), Jess Polzin (Cougars)!
Umpires
The Club showed appreciation for all umpires, who played a pivotal role in every game.
A special mention went to Amelia Stevens who was Umpire of the Year, for her dedication in umpiring which allowed her to receive the National C Umpiring badge earlier this year.
The Club thanked its sponsors, Toowoomba Spray Shop and the Biltoft Family.
Champion Team
The undefeated 11C Lions was the Champion Team for 2025. The team played an incredible season and the players and coaches should be immensely proud. The sponsors were the Quinn Family, Acupuncture Aware, and Pittsworth Tyre and Battery.
MVP of the Finals
Congratulations to Abigail Briggs (11C Lions), Gabrielle Simpson (12C Leopards), and Jasmine Perkins (Cadet D Panthers) who were awarded the MVP of their Grand Final games. Each of them displayed some brilliant netball. The trophy sponsor was Kleint Industries Pty Ltd.
Club Person of the Year
Hannah Farrell received the Club Person of the Year award for her ongoing support, commitment and effort that she put into the Club. Congratulations Hannah! The sponsors were the Stevens and Saal Families.
Spirit of the Wildcat
Aiden Farrell was congratulated on receiving the Spirit award for 2025. It recognised Aiden’s continuous positive spirit and commitment to the Club. The sponsor was Acupuncture Aware.
Volunteers
The Club expressed sincere gratitude to all the parents, friends, players and Wildcats members who volunteered throughout the season.
“No effort goes unnoticed and we could not appreciate the support and help more,” a Club spokesperson said.
“We have to say a special thank you Lisa Cavanagh and Tracy McAuley for all their hard work with our grants and lights for our netball courts, which we are hoping to get up and running by the start of next year, thanks to these lovely ladies.”
Allstar Team
The Allstar Team of 2025 was named as Aleisha Stevens (GS), Keira Quinn (GA), Hannah Farrell (WA), Amelia Stevens (C), Mikealee Nothdurft (WD), Jess Polzin (GD), Sophie Filan (GK), Bianca Johnson (GA), Aiden Farrell (C) and Jasmine Perkins (GD).
Each of the players received a gift voucher sponsored by the Club.
