This team of talented players finished the season on top of the ladder after taking on highly competitive teams from all over the region.

It is the only Pittsworth team to make a grand final this season.

Ella plays GS and is highly accurate.

Olivia plays centre court and is a fast and dynamic player.

Harper plays centre court and defence and is always backing up her players and offering support.

Lucy is constantly intercepting passes from the opposition.

Makayla has become a key player in defence.

Milla moved from shooting to centre court and has become a major asset to the team.

Amelia plays all three areas and often turns the ball with strategic defence.

Aleisha plays all three areas and is dynamic in attack and lethal in defence.

Meanwhile, the Cadet D Cheetahs bowed out of the finals race, one win short but not without first delivering a stoic battle against Brothers.

Our opponents bounced out of the starting blocks leaving the Cheetahs shell-shocked and down by 5 before themselves landing points.

Up against a shooter almost twice her height, Maddie never stopped striving for a tip, a touch, a stray rebound…any impact she achieved against him was gold. Isabel was also dogged in defence, never letting up on her opposite and positioning to contest every pass, effecting critical intercepts.

Sienna stuck tight on the wing and managed to snag vital touches and turnovers.

Our court and ball movement began to swing into motion.

Down by four at the break.

The girls showed immense courage in the second quarter, building their momentum and producing an impressive passing game, rattling off 6 unanswered goals and sending panic through the opposition.

Up by 1 at the half.

Keira played an outstanding game, working out and gaining the upper hand over an athletic, agile opponent.

Indi and Sarah each played their GS role brilliantly with impressive movement and scintillating passes.

Ava displayed her signature ‘thread the needle’ passes to the hands of our shooters and also picked up some spectacular intercepts.

Chelsea lead from the front with snappy drives into open spaces to advance the ball.

Mikealee burst onto the scene in the second quarter dictating play with fantastic speed and accuracy.

A few little mistakes crept into our third stanza, and we were down by one at the break.

Patches of brilliance still highlighted the final quarter, but uncharacteristic errors gave Brothers the edge and we succumbed to the mounting pressure, ending our season four
goals short.
