Work Started On Old Fire Station
In the past couple of days a few panels of the facade have been removed from the old fire station building in Herbert Street.
A spokesperson from the Southern Downs Regional Council said -
“The work completed to date is minor and did not require a demolition permit. Full demolition will commence once the necessary approvals have been issued, and the application is currently under assessment.
"Once approved, Council’s contractor will proceed with the full demolition of the old fire shed building."
The Allora Community is looking forward to the future redevelopment of the site which will be known as the Allora Community Precinct and will now have the added attraction of the famous Wikner.
