Work underway to clear flood debris
Across the Toowoomba Region, work is underway to clear debris which collected against bridges and other structures as a result of flooding at the end of last year.
The debris was washed downstream as floodwaters rose and in many areas, bridges acted as dams to hold back the assorted vegetation and timber which had accumulated in the waterways during the drought years.
At Felton last week, work crews were busy extricating a large amount of debris which had accumulated against the bridge and safety railing at Hodgson’s Creek.
