Zoo open over Easter
Those looking for school holiday fun should look no further than the Darling Downs Zoo at Pilton, open across the whole Easter period.
Owner Stephanie Robinson said the Darling Downs Zoo is always expanding.
“If you haven’t been for a while there will be new animals to see,” Mrs Robinson said.
“We also have new baby animals born this past week, including the smallest monkeys in the world, the Pygmy Marmoset.
“The best time to visit is when you can join in with our keeper talks, they get the animals up for treats, so the animals get as close as possible to you.
“The first activity allows everyone to meet a baby alligator at 10.15am and continues with introducing the Siamang, Binturong, Tiger, Leopards, Cheetah, Giraffe, Hippo, Meerkat, Lemur, Lions, Baboons and Snakes.”
